GLY+ Glycolic Peels
Glycolic Acid is a superficial peeling agent that is made from sugar cane. It is often considered the most active and beneficial of the Alpha-Hydroxy-Acids (AHA). With repetitive and continuous use, improvement to skin tone and texture occurs.
Once inside the skin’s cell, glycolic acid will serve as a catalyst for the formation of new collagen which will reduce the appearance of wrinkles on the skin’s surface. Glycolic acid has been proven to be very effective in the treatment of hyperpigmentation, melasma, actinic keratosis, acne, and oily skin, as well as other cosmetic uses.
GLY+ 30%-70% Physician Strength Peels
Cynergy’s GLY+ Program contains glycolic acid skin care products and physician strength un-buffered glycolic peels in a convenient pad form (available in 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, and 70%). Each pad is individually sealed in its own package to ensure that pads remain saturated during storage. Additionally, the package prevents contamination of peels prior to use. The generous 9” x 7” size of each pad allows this product to also be easily used on other parts of the body such as arms, hands, chest, back, etc!

Dispense HQ+ AHA 4% Hydroquinone for thick or oily skin. Dispense HQ+ Bearberry 4% Hydroquinone for sensitive or dry skin.
HQ+: Apply once or twice a day depending on pigmentation problem. For small amount of pigmentation, use once in the evening. For heavy pigmentation, use once in the morning and once in the evening. Apply an even amount(approximately dime size) to freshly washed skin. Leave on skin. Important: Follow with a 30 SPF sunscreen.
HQ+ AHA contains an additional 4% glycolic acid. This may make it slightly irritating to the skin; however the skin-lightening agent will penetrate quicker due to the exfoliation. You will need to diagnose which patients will benefit from which HQ+ product (HQ+AHA and HQ+Bearberry.)
To accelerate results, a tretinoin such as Retin-A or Renova, may be prescribed with HQ+. Patients will apply the Retin-A or Renova after the HQ+ Hydroquinone product in the evening.
This program will take approximately one to two skin cycles to achieve results (30-60 days.) It is recommended that patients stay on a daily regimen for 8 weeks total, then assume a maintenance schedule where HQ+ is used twice a week, indefinitely. The continuation of tretinoin usage with HQ+ is at the physician’s discretion. Patients exposed to the sun will experience a recurrence of pigmentation. While patients will experience quicker results with a combination of tretinoin & HQ+, this treatment often causes a two-week period where the skin will be irritated as it builds up a tolerance to products. If patient skin becomes excessively irritated, reduce tretinoin usage to twice a week. Remain using HQ+ everyday.
NOTE: If you are using the products post laser, chemical peel or dermabrasion, do not have the patient start the product until after re-epithiliazation (7 to 10 day's post treatment) and scabbing has fallen off. Have the patient start slowly with HQ+ products twice a week. Patients will gradually build up to everyday use.
If you are using the products post microdermabrasion therapy, do not have the patient start the product until 24–48 hours after the treatment, depending on depth of penetration.

Patient Directions: Apply COOLING HERBAL MASK after treatment is complete. Gently in a circular outward motion massage mask onto skin. Leave on for approximately 7-10 minutes. Remove with a damped cool towel or sponges. Skin will feel refreshed and smooth and redness will be gone.

NATURE+ Natural Skin Lightening

Licorice contains glabridin (a powerful skin lightening ingredient) in minute quantities. Licorice is very safe. Mulberry is a gentle skin lightener.
